Using ink leads to vibrant and durable results. For the duration of three weeks students will learn to create their own images, put the images on silk screens, and transfer the image to create prints using ink and watercolors. We will discuss screen burning, how to reclaim unused ink from screens, and how to make consistent prints. All materials are provided. Join us and unleash your creativity!

About Rubber City Prints:
Rubber City Prints (RCP) was conceived by Pamela Testa as
a way to keep local printmakers and artist in the area after graduating from art school. While attending Kent State University, Pam involved fellow colleagues, printmakers and friends to help. Knowing they would not have access to the college's printmaking studio after they finished the program, they helped her to enter a small business contest offered by the University Park Alliance and Charter One in 2012. The proposal for RCP won the funds to make the print shop a reality.
With the help of fellow printmakers, Krista Rickert, Franscisca Ugalde, Bridget O'Donnell, and Erica Criss, Rubber City Prints opened to the public on November 1, 2014 and gained their non-profit (501)(c)(3) status in January of 2016.
RCP's mission is to offer local artists the facilities and opportunities needed for the art community to thrive in downtown Akron, Ohio.
