Creative Connections: Stone Wrapping Jewelry

Stone Wrapping

Saturdays - August 9th, August 16th, & August 23 // 2pm-4pm.

A perfect opportunity to experiment and learn stone wrapping techniques for making jewelry and sculptures with wire and polished stones. Beginners and intermediate skill levels are welcome. Instructor Ron White will guide you through different techniques for wrapping stones to create pendants for jewelry or a component of a sculpture.

This class is offered over the course of 3 Saturdays. You may sign up for individual days or all 3. Participants must cancel the day before the class to receive a refund. Class registration is required by 6 PM the day before class is held. Scholarships are available for eligible applicants, see below.

Materials Provided

• Metal wire in different gauges

• Polished stones

• A variety of pliers for crimping, straightening, and wrapping multiple gauges of wire

What to Bring

• Sketchbook for ideas and notes (optional)

About the Instructor

Ron White is an award-winning artist from Akron, Ohio who works in multiple mediums including clay, jewelry, charcoal, and ice sculpture. Ron has over 30 years of experience teaching art and creating art. Much of his work incorporates human figures and emphasizes light and lines. He is a resident artist at White Rabbit Galleries.
